For this family portrait session in the beautiful hills of east Tennessee, we had a perfect day on our hands, with the sunset glistening through the trees. While we had just a little time on our hands to do both family and senior portraits at sunset, we were able to get tons of beautiful shots. Really happy with how these turned out!

Today's throwback feature is of one of my favorite people, Pinki. She is hilarious, beautiful, intelligent, and I wanted to showcase this with these photos. I will never forget the stunning array of sari dresses that made up her wardrobe for the shoot, making these photos really come to life against the natural surroundings.

On #throwbackthursday, one day after #backtothefutureday I thought I'd show y'all this shoot I did a couple years back. The band Sound Drivers in East Tennessee posed with the one and only Delorean, and it was a dream come true to shoot. Magical, I say!
One of my favorite types of photo sessions is, hands down, senior portraits. More than just a model portfolio session, the task is to showcase a senior high school student's personality and style; allowing the photographer to display the subject's mood and expression instead of curating it. The real challenge though is making the photos work for both the high school senior and the parents, and if the photographer is able to make everyone happy, you're golden.
State of Franklin Healthcare Associates Walk-In Clinic is a friendly, convenient healthcare facility located in Johnson City, Tennessee. Fender's Farm in Jonesborough, Tennessee is an amusement park set in the beautiful east Tennessee landscape, and it was my job to capture the myriad of fun activities the farm offers in a brand new website. With the farm offering a zip line, corn maze, haunted house, hand-crafted rides and a slew of other adventurous activities, the challenge was to organize and present this simply, yet thoroughly. fendersmaze.com

I went backstage at the Custo Barcelona Spring/Summer 2014 Runway Show to snap shots for Chictopia. The fabrics, the colors, the life; I always love the vibrant nature of Custo's clothing.
For my work, bounced lighting is key to good food photography. I used bounced light from the ceiling and a metal shelf in addition to professional lighting strobes and diffusers to achieve the look of these photos

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the wedding of my good friends Serena and Austin. Somehow I managed to cram in a bunch of pre-wedding shots despite doing Serena's hair and makeup too (with the help of my lovely assistant Amanda). Here's round one of the pre-ceremony shots.
